Introducing the Springboard Road Show Foundation (SRSF)

Springboard Roadshow FoundationThe Springboard Road Show Foundation (SRSF) is a not-for-profit civil society organisation initiated by Albert & Comfort Ocran, promoters of the annual Springboard Road Show, the Virtual University radio broadcasts and other youth development and mentoring initiatives. It is registered under the laws of Ghana as a company limited by guarantee. SRSF is overseen by a five-member Governing Board comprising senior professionals and achievers from various sectors.

Background to the Foundation

For the past five years, Springboard has been promoted by Legacy & Legacy, a human capital development organisation also engaged in management consultancy, publishing and corporate training. The Road Shows have largely been possible through the generous support of corporate organisations. Today, over 50,000 in our database alumni are being monitored and mentored as they make their way up the ladder of corporate and professional success. The continued growth of the Springboard Road Show and media broadcasts has necessitated the formation of a specially-designated entity to focus solely on the key objectives of youth development and mentoring.

The choice of a not-for-profit organisation was to capture the true essence of the Road Show as a social intervention rather than a business activity. It is also aimed at broadening the governance to match up to international standards for civil society organisational management. It is hoped that the new entity will also attract a broader funding base by allowing individual Ghanaians across various demographic and economic spheres to contribute resources towards its execution. Most importantly, it will create the organisational capacity to allow for all-year-round impact rather than only during the first quarter as was the case with the annual Road Shows.
